Since our last newsletter in March this year, a lot of things have happened. The development of the Konikablo Wind Farm has made some important progress.
On 7th of May 2019, a workshop under the leadership of Upwind Konikablo Ltd. between ENERCON, NEK and GRIDCo took place in Accra. Technical aspects of how to integrate the planned 200 MW Konikablo Wind Farm into the existing grid of GRIDCo were discussed, among others.
In recent weeks, two 125 m high wind measuring masts have been installed on the site of the future Konikablo Wind Farm in Ghana. The meteorological data are transmitted since mid-March 2019.
The first community newsletter has been published. The newsletter contains general information of the Konikablo Wind Farm project.
After having carried out a comprehensive drone survey for our wind farms already in 2014, now the time has come to refresh this survey for our most advanced projects Ayitepa and Konikablo.
Our holding company Upwind International AG has recently signed an agreement with the German company Enercon GmbH for the take-over of the wind energy project Konikablo in Ghana.
