Grid Connection Workshop between ENERCON, NEK and GRIDCo
On 7th of May 2019, a workshop under the leadership of Upwind Konikablo Ltd. between ENERCON, NEK and GRIDCo took place in Accra. Technical aspects of how to integrate the planned 200 MW Konikablo Wind Farm into the existing grid of GRIDCo were discussed, among others.
Experts from ENERCON GmbH and GRIDCo gave various presentations on the subject of grid and integration of a wind farm. Constructive discussions between the participants about their outstanding experiences on the topic fell on fertile ground. Important contacts have been made. This date marks an important milestone between the cooperation of ENERCON, NEK and GRIDCo.
On Wednesday, 8th May 2019, further details about the grid connection were clarified at GRIDCo's offices in Tema. Afterwards, the ENERCON delegation visited a nearby substation. Important insights were gained for the planned Konikablo Wind Farm.
